I heard this song on the radio a few days ago, its for the new Twilight Saga Movie...and though I know I'll see the movie just because I've seen the others and Im a hopeless romantic..this song to me is more inspirational for one of my WIP.....Its a lovely song......and very heart wrenching and what good story doesnt have a good heart wrenching scene......for my boys...Caleb and Declan....may the rain stop for you both....

Sleepy Sunday

It is Sunday afternoon and the rain we so desperately need is finally here.  It's the perfect weather for snuggling up with a good book or a good man....or perhaps a good man reading a good book to you......It is also the perfect day to write about perfect and not so perfect men.  The story that I had started a few weeks ago, is now firmly planted in my computer and that's where it will stay...for the time being....because two of my characters from another WIP are screaming at me to finish them....and like all good inspiring writers with an imagination that is non stop 24/7 I must listen to them.......So boys.....be ready to come out and play, because I got my caffeine, my comfy clothes and the sound of blissful rain in the background......I am ready......

The Men

The beautiful men who's pictures I have posted are my inspiration for three stories I am working on.
Declan and Caleb are from my story Sadie's Gift.  The two men are ready to move on from their painful past and start living again when the meet.  The only thing that's keeping them from a happily ever after is their two meddlesome but loveable friends.  Oh and did I mention Sadie is a ghost and Sean is a clairvoyant.  This story is full of sorrow and humor but mostly about falling in love... I'm a sucker for a good love story.

Achilles and Patroclus are still in the early stages..I have put a spin on the story of Troy...complete with avenging heroes and demonic warriors out to destroy the world.  After centuries of living apart, can these two men finally find their way back to a love that stands the test of time?  You'll have to wait and see...

And last but certainly not least, as this will be my first submission; is Jamie and Corey.  The two absolutely adorable boys who are kissing as if the world doesnt exist but just the two of them.  I saw this picture on another website and was immediately inspired to tell their story......it wont always be a stroll through the garden for these two, but I can promise you it will be well worth the journey............

Stay tuned............

Bragging about my Buds part 2

What a lovely Sunday it is in south Texas...We haven't had much of this lately so its put me in the mood to do a bit more bragging about my very talented and awesomely wonderful friends....

First I will start by talking about a few amazing writers whose books are on my TBR pile:

Kari Gregg, who is a very talented writer, and a super nice person to boot.  Her newest book I Omega is at the top of my list to read, and I wait anxiously for her newly published book Collared with the brand spanking new publishing company Riptide Publishing. http://www.karigregg.com/  Be sure and check them out as well riptidepublishing.com

Cherie Noel is another writer whose book The Soldier and the State Trooper resides on my short list as well...She too has the good fortune to be writing a story for Riptide and is one of the nicest and most helpful people I have had the good fortune to meet. http://talesfromthewritingcave.blogspot.com

NJ Nielsen has a story in the works for MLRPress.com and I can hardly wait for that one.  One of my top ten stories on Goodreads HJD's was written by Ms. Nielsen and if you like hunky viking warrior types its a must read.   Shadows of the Heart. http://normanielsen.blogspot.com/

And last but not least (for today) is my really good friend who happens to be an amazing graphic artist Eithne O'Hanlon from the Emerald Isle, Ireland.  She has graciously given me permission to post some of her awesome work, and if that wasn't enough is currently working on a new banner for me.  You can go to her website to see all her wonderful works of art. http://www.nianluain.com/Welcome.html you must really check it out.

So heres to a wonderful Sunday and some really good reads............

Bragging about my buds

So in my spare time, (when I have it, which isn't often) I'm an avid reader.  Here recently I have had the good fortune to read two pieces of fiction from two very dear to my heart writers.  So I am going to shamelessly plug their work.....because 1. I can and 2. They sooo deserve it...

I will start in the order in which I read them...
Amor Prohibido by Ellis Carrington  http://elliscarrington.wordpress.com/

I absolutely loved this book...Her characters were likeable and endearing from the moment you meet them...Her paranormal world is steeped in myths and magic.  I literally finished this book in hours, I could not put it down.  I am so looking forward to meeting these characters again in the future.....
Right on and Write on Ellis......I give it 7 out of 5 stars

Second goes to my newest friend Louisa Luigi  http://louisaluigi.wordpress.com/

When I read this I was floored by finding out that this was her first submission...the story is called, The Heist, and though the only books I generally read in m/f are of the paranormal genre...this m/f delighted me...she has a true gift for the written word, and I cant wait to read more from her...even hinting that she totally needs to read more m/m and maybe one day write one of her own...
Right on and Write on Louisa......I also give 7 out of 5 stars.....

And because I really want to do this I am also going to review my very dear and longtime friend Taylor V. Donovan...........For someone who until a year or so ago had never really written anything, this woman rocks!!! her style and storylines will grab you from the get go...she has the first in a series coming out soon, that must be read!! The six degrees and counting series will make you fall in love with her angsty, deep thinking and sometimes goofy men....to check her work out go to Goodreads.com and her site http://sixdegreesandcounting.blogspot.com/  check her out you wont regret it....
she gets 9 out 5 stars.............because to me these ladies cant have enough stars................Enjoy ;)

I have a pile of TBR including Cherie Noel, Kari Gregg and several others....cant wait to get too them

Sultry Saturday

So for the first time in months....and months and endless months of miserable heat in South Texas...it is finally Fall....for the moment anyway.......So here I sit on my back porch feeling the cool breeze across my face, listen to the birds who are just as happy as moi, and let my boys out to play..........the ones in my head, that is.  They have been kept in for far too long and are getting a wee bit bitchy with me..........So enjoy your Saturday, my first follower...heehee and good friend Taylor V. Donovan....and bring on the weekend...

((hugs))
